How to setup L2TP VPN on the DSR series of Dlink router?

Open a web browser in your device and open Dlink website.
Enter “Admin” as your username and leave the password field empty.
On the Home screen, go to Setup option which is on the top menu, and then click Internal User Data and then click Groups.
Now, click Add to create a new user group.
On the new window, enter Group Name, Description, and set the Privilege Type to L2TP User. Click Save to save the settings.
To create a new L2TP user within the newly created group. Again go to Setup and the choose Internal User Data and then select Users.
Click Add and Input a Username and Password and then select the newly created group in the Select Group section. And save the setting to finish.
To create L2TP server, select Setup and then choose VPN Settings > L2TP > L2TP Server.
Enter the following details:
In L2TP Server Mode: Enable IPv4
In L2TP Routing Mode: NAT
Set the IP range to be within the same subnet as the DSR, and not within the LAN’s DHCP pool.
Under Authentication Database’s Authentication: Local User Database
Under Authentication Supported select PAP, CHAP, MS-CHAP, and MS-CHAPv2. You can pick and choose which settings to use but make sure the client software supports those settings.
